A weird story originally reported by Sky News got even weirder once the blog CeleBitchy did some digging and found out that Brad Pitts new tattoo, originally thought to be a silhouette of Angelina Jolie and her long distinctive ponytail form the original Tomb Raider poster, is actually an outline of Ötzi the Iceman, a well-preserved natural mummy of a man from about 3300 BC that was found in 1991 in a glacier in the Ötztal Alps, on the border between Austria and Italy. Pitts new tattoo is possibly taken from a sketch from the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology website (screencap at the bottom). The mummy is very distinctive because it's left arm is draped across it's chest and under it's neck, and this can be seen clearly in Pitts tat.
So, why would Pitt have a tattoo of an unfrozen iceman? It's hard to say. Is it cooler than my tattoo of Garfield? Obviously not. That cat sure does hate Mondays!
