JESSICA SIMPSON IS NOT DATING JOHN MAYER

Despite Us Weekly's claims that they were seriously dating and People magazine saying Jessica was in love, both John Mayer and Jessica Simpson now deny that they are seeing one another.  The New York Post has Mayers side of the story, claiming that he broke things off almost immediately.  Page Six says:

Mayer has already dumped Simpson “because … she and her pals are too loose-lipped for the reclusive Mayer. One person in the Mayer camp told Us Weekly the relationship "was a 2 [that] her camp spun into an 11 . . . [Mayer] thinks it's desperate . . . an attempt to stay in the spotlight."

But IMDb reports that yesterday on the View, Simpson insisted the two were never serious and she never told anyone she was in love.  Jessica said 

"…he's my friend, I've known him for a couple years."

Jessica actually said a bunch of other stuff too, but I don't know what that might be because her stylist has ruined her and now she's boring, so about halfway through this I balled up a piece of paper and now I’m batting it back and forth like a kitten.
