William H. Macy may look like a dentist or a counselor at a math camp, but he’s quickly becoming the only person who makes any damn sense in Hollywood. At a recent press junket, he was asked about the work ethic of Lindsay Lohan, his co-star in the upcoming "Bobby". Macy said:
"You can't show up late. It's very, very disrespectful. I think what an actor has to realize (is that) when you show up an hour late, 150 people have been scrambling to cover for you. There is not an apology big enough in the world to have to make 150 people scramble. It's nothing but disrespect. And Lindsay Lohan is not the only one. A lot of actors show up late as if they're God's gift to the film. It's inexcusable, and they should have their asses kicked."
When specifically asked about her work on "Bobby", Macy said:
"She was pretty late."
See, this is why Lindsay Lohan is in the tabloids all the time and William Macy isn’t. Because he’s a pro and she’s a wobbly drunken tramp. As a famous internet sex symbol, this is the kind of thing I try to stress when I go and speak to the young people of today. Then I give a speech about dope and staying in school. "Don’t be a dope, don’t do dope", I say. It's pretty powerful stuff. Does it make them smile? Sure, but it also makes them think. Just like "Gilmore Girls".
