Some thought it was strange for Heath Ledger to turn down a role in the upcoming movie by visionary director Baz Luhrmann (‘Moulin Rouge’, ‘Romeo + Juliet’) but it would seem he had a good reason, as online reports now say that late last night he was offered the role of the Joker in the sequel to ‘Batman Begins’. The great movie site Latino Review says:
“For months, gossip has been circulating (around) who would play The Joker in the Batman Begins sequel. It’s definite that the next sequel will concentrate on The Joker … We were first to tell the world that Brandon Routh was going to be the new Superman. Now here we are at it again as we just got word from A VERY TRUSTED SOURCE that the offer last night was officially made to Heath Ledger to star as The Joker.”
I actually like Heath Ledger, but it’s hard to think about him these days without seeing him roughly kissing another dude, so when I picture him as the Joker, what I really picture is the Jokers gang with white and red makeup smeared all over their face. It will look like a gang of clowns who just got their ass kicked. Oooo, scary. Batman, save us, save us from the attractive 160 pound unarmed smiling dude and the clowns who seemingly can’t fight.
