The 2006 MTV Movie Awards were taped over the weekend at Sony Studios in Culver City, hosted by Jessica Alba and set to air this Thursday night on MTV. One of the tweaks to this years show was doing away with separate categories for male and female nominees. For example, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon and Rachel McAdams were all nominated for ‘Best Performance’. Actually that seems kind of queer. Does Hollywood really need to be more androgynous. Men and women are different, and that’s fine, it’s okay, but they are different. For example, from what I can tell, the female orgasm is just a myth.
