Nicolas Cage owns an island

May 20, 2006 | celebrity | editor | 0 Comments

Nicolas Cage has bought a 40-acre island in the Bahamas that had been on the market for $3 million. The Wall Street Journal says that the island is completely undeveloped. People.com adds:

“The property, located near an island owned by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, is about 85 miles southeast of Nassau and is part of the Exuma archipelago of some 365 islands in the southern Bahamas. (Cage) also has a home on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.”

It used to be that islands were only for pirates and prisoners from the future. Now they’re for big Hollywood stars to relax. And billionaires to hunt homeless people. But it sounds fantastic, what with the drug lords killing you in your sleep and all. And don’t forget the monkeys and poisonous snakes. It’s like that old saying, “life is all about living with monkeys and poisonous snakes.”
