Sharon Stone is in trouble

Movie critics seem to hate ‘Basic Instinct 2’, and so apparently do women rights groups. The violent sex that permeates the movie was one thing, but the scene where Sharon Stone seems to enjoy almost being drowned in a hot tub by co-star David Morrissey goes too far for some. This comes on the heels of feminists freaking out because Keanu Reeves tells Playboy what he learned while filming ‘the Gift’ with Hillary Swank in 2000. Keanu says:

“By the way, I also learned a bit of … well, some of the ladies don’t mind it (rough). . . Hah, that’s awful to say.”

Women Against Domestic Violence spokesperson Melissa Rimel heard of the comment and said Keanu made her “literally ill”:

“I cannot believe he would even think it was OK to say that. Why doesn’t someone educate that man? I can see him saying that in passing and thinking it means nothing but, the thing is, so many women are sexually abused every day by their partners and, no, those women do not want that, nor do they like it.”

Settle down honey. He didn’t say women want to get raped. He just said some girls – the fun ones – like it a little rough. And of course that’s true. At least for the girls who want boys to like them. I wish my “girlfriend” felt that way. You wouldn’t think a doll built from saw dust and horse hair would be so uptight, but you haven’t met Kandi.
