Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrived in southern Africa last week and Jolie, who is due any day now with the couples first child, will give birth in a remote game lodge in Nambia. The Namibian newspaper ‘Die Republikein’ says:
“the pair had moved from a luxury beach resort in the harbour town of Walvisbay to a lodge in the Etosha National Game Park in northern Namibia, where lions are a top tourist draw and would help deter intruders trying to photograph the couple.”
Holy shit, did I read that right! Are Brad and Angelina using guard lions now? That’s fuckin awesome! The paparazzi are smartasses, so I’m sure they’ll get really high trucks or helicopters, but that just means guard lions on stilts and shot from catapults. And if you think guard lions are mean when relaxing under a tree, try shooting one from a catapult. The rulebook says lions are cool unless there’s a bunch of sudden movement, and I’m almost positive shooting one from a catapult counts as a “sudden movement”. I’m not a vet, but when they land, trust me, they will head straight to the nearest living thing and kill it.
