Jessica Simpson vs. Lindsay Lohan?

So what is the truth behind the breathless Us Magazine cover this week declaring a war between Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson? The genesis is this: Lindsay Lohan has been spending time with ‘X-Men 3’ director Brett Ratner since late March. Ratner is also the director of Jessica’s ‘These Boots Are Made For Walking’ video, and the three of them independently ended up at new LA hotspot the Dime last Thursday. Ratner crossed the room to sit down with Jessica, and according to Us, Lindsay sent over a few drinks but was never acknowledged by Jess. Being ignored by the girl chatting up her boyfriend was too much, and Lindsay got pissed. Really pissed. According to Us:

(Lindsay said to Jessica), “What’s the matter? When your sister is around, you can talk shit about me, but now that Ashlee’s not here, what are you going to do? C’mon! I’m 19 and you’re 25. Say something, you coward!”
