Jessica Simpson is an angel

The Daily News says that Jessica Simpson may be in talks to do a tell-all interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer to deny Us Weekly’s cover story this week that she cheated on Nick Lachey at least twice before their separation. Us claims that Jessica cheated with Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine in Boston in May 2004 while Nick was in Fiji. They also allege another fling in Los Angeles in September 2004 and chronicle Jessica’s social life since filing for divorce in December. Jessica’s rep denies all aspects of the Us story, but a source at Us says:

“This is a woman who lied to the public and probably her husband about her marriage until the bitter end. Enough said.”

How dare this rag attack my beloved Jessica. And even if it’s true, I would hardly consider cheating on Nick Lachey a character flaw. He looks like a caveman who found a bowflex and more people were killed by gorillas last year than bought a Nick Lachey album. But if she is on the prowl, maybe it’s time for me to show up in my leather cop outfit and inform Jessica that she’s got the right to remain satisfied, baby.
