A Los Angeles judge approved the name-change of the adopted children of Angelina Jolie on Thursday, and they will now be known as Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt. Maddox is now 4 years old, and Zahara had her first birthday on January 8.
Last month Brad Pitt, 42, announced his plans to legally adopt Jolie’s two children. Jolie and her children moved into Pitts Malibu home almost two months ago, and the couple are expecting a child around June. A friend of Jolie tells People.com:
“It’s the idea that you love one another and you want to create a family together. “What’s beautiful is you can do it by birth (or) by adoption.”
Yeah, adoption is great, being able to pick and choose your kids. It’s like playing God, no-no, its like being God. Anyway, does this seem a tad egotistical to anyone else, branding the kids who don’t give a shit what their last name is. You’re parents now, start acting like it. Childhood is pretty fragile, one bad day and the kids in therapy for years. Like me. Sure, its massage therapy, but I’m pretty sure that counts too.
