Hollywood.com among others picked up the story yesterday that ‘Friends’ is returning to NBC in four one-hour specials after all six stars agreed to multi-million dollar deals. The final hold-out was Jennifer Aniston, who has had a busy film career since the final ‘Friends’ episode. A source says,
“She’s the one who had been holding out. But she’s now agreed to reprise Rachel. Bringing them back is a dream come true. Ratings will go through the roof.”
And God knows why, but word is that NBC has also hinted at a second spin-off, despite the disappointing performance of ‘Joey’. The new program will see the three male leads from ‘Friends’ in a sitcom called ‘It’s A Guy Thing’.
First of all, I’m gonna assume this is bogus until I see it in Variety or the Reporter, and I really dont care either way, since it’s with no small amount of pride that I tell you I’ve never seen an episode of ‘Friends’. Look, I’ve been bored before too, but never to the point when I would watch 22 minutes of inane pratfalls and awkwardly set up jokes. Honestly, the only way I would watch this nonsense is if it was projected onto Marissa Millers naked ass.
