Despite losing millions in endorsements deals since her drug addiction was revealed, Kate Moss has kept at least one job – she will still appear in the much sought after but private and prestigious Pirelli calendar for 2006. Pirelli – yes, the Italian tire company – claims it never considered replacing Moss. A Pirelli spokesman said:
“There was no chance that Kate would have been dropped from the calendar. We decided to stick with her because professionally she has always been great for us and a wonderful ambassador. What she does in her private life is no concern of ours.”
Wow. What loyalty! Awesome, right! I wanna work for Pirelli! Excpet, no, thats not what happened. Reports that have since been confirmed by the Daily Mirror say they had no choice but to keep Moss because the calendar has already been printed, and it features Moss four times.
“There was a lot of talk about whether we should scrap Kate in the light of what happened. The problem was that the calendar had already been shot and produced. There was no way at such short notice that Kate’s photographs could have been removed and replaced with someone else.”
