George Clooney is a partner in a group that includes Brad Pitt and Rande Gerber (Cindy Crawfords husband and owner of Skybar) who are building a 3 billion dollar Las Vegas casino. Clooney promises his new hotel will add a touch of class to the gambling mecca when its doors are opened. The Spanish-themed project, named Las Ramblas, will boast a 25-acre complex, 4,400 condominium and hotel units and a 48,000-square-foot casino. Clooney also hopes to provide an older, more Rat-Pack Vegas feel.
“We have this romantic notion of a place where you put on a jacket or a dress to go to dinner. We will have some sort of dress code so that it will feel like you are walking into a more formal Las Vegas of a different age or a classic Monte Carlo casino. I may be the novice of this group (of investors), but I have a good idea of what I like in Las Vegas, and it is all about class.”
George Clooney seems to be trapped in his own world as a millionaire playboy, where citing the feel of Monte Carlo casino is an appropriate reference. For me and the rest of the world, the definition of class in Vegas is biting your tongue and not telling the cocktail waitress that you desperately want to fuck her in the ass, even though, in reality, you would very much like to fuck her in the ass.
