Anne Hathaway Cried at the Gym

Tales of crying at the gym are the female equivalent of men happening to bring up high school sports stories in their primal drum circles. Largely invented myths that bond the genders. If you’re a celebrity trying to recast your public persona and never cried at the gym, your press agent will set you up with a decent ringer.

Anne Hathaway shared her own tearful body shaming at the gym story with Ellen as Ellen stared at Hathaway’s new big mom tits and concocted a complex plan to gobble the shit out of them before the summer solstice. 

“So I say to this guy I had a baby seven weeks ago. And he goes, ‘Oh, trying to lose the baby weight!'”

Don’t fall into the trap of having no fucking clue why this amounts to body shaming. Just ride it and cry along.

Hathaway explained that the appropriate response to a woman who said she just had a baby is ‘you look great’. Which makes sense. As does not running away and sobbing when a trainer at your crazy expensive private Beverly Hills gym is trying to weasel ten $150 half hour sessions out of you. Having a baby doesn’t make your more relatable. It just means Ellen needs to be more cautious around your sutured perineum. Think about who the real victim is here.
